The Nexenta/StormOS stall at FOSDEM appeared to be a great success. Although there was some confusion as to what Nexenta and StormOS actually are, mainly due to the way people commonly use the word 'OpenSolaris' to refer to both the kernel and the distribution. Other people thought we were a new Ubuntu based distribution for Netbooks, etc. In the end I think many people were genuinely intrigued by ideas of combining OpenSolaris and Ubuntu to get the best of both worlds. An GNU/OpenSolaris distribution with ZFS AND APT! Genius! Anyway, the stall...
We had 20 t-shirts and 50 cd's. The t-shirts were all gone on the first day and the cd's where gone around 4pm on Sunday. I'm sure I could have shifted more if I had them but I decided to bring half each day (something I should have done with the t-shirts). A few people stopped by on Sunday to show off their t-shirts which was cool.
All-in-all I consider it a success. Many people now know what the Nexenta and StormOS projects are and I know a bit more about how the community feels about Nexenta (which I'll forward on).
Will keep this post updated with more images when I find them.

Sounds like you had a blast. Great way to get out news about the OS on a person to person basis.
Hi Andy,
I think you did quite a good job at fosdem and the idea of a booth right next to the NLUUG guys presenting opensolaris was quite a good choice since people where able to see multiple options of utilising opensolaris in distros. It was fun to meet and talk.
greets from snowy germany ;)
