One item I would like to see on the desktop is a functioning "network connection manager". I personally have a toughbook with Nexenta 2.0 RC1 installed. It would be nice to have the option to connect to my wireless N router with ease rather than have a leash.
I agree, and for that reason I have decided to port WICD to StormOS.
If I can get the port ready in time I will include it in the beta release.
