I will be releasing a pre-alpha version of StormOS Flash in next few weeks. For those that don't follow the dev blog, StormOS Flash is a distribution based on NCP4 (NCP4 combines Debian Squeeze with Illumos kernel and userland). In order to meet this goal I'm going to set the bar pretty low and aim to have only the bare minimum of features/applications included but aim to have everything working.
Here is my release checklist:
- Xfce must start without errors or warnings.
- Mounting/unmounting of devices should work from within Xfce.
- If you chose to install a media player, sound should work.
- Some apps for package developers: gedit, synaptic and xchat.
I estimate that I'm about 80% of the way there already so this should be realistic.
congrats on making it so far, Andy!
should you need any help, you know where to reach me :)
I see that you have given a lot of thought on the new release of StormOs. Hope that it goes as you have planned without the errors and that all the features work as planned.
