Virtualizing StormOS

I have i 1`Tera bite ext that like to use for data with storm or nexenta.
I don't like a web frontend like gui in vb.
Going to use this for backups podcast and photo raws(.arw sony dslrs)
my main deaktop is based on uduntu 10.04

The LiveCD apparently causes infinite loop immediately after decompressing the kernel under VirtualBox 3.0.4. What can cause this?

I was able to successfully install StormOS Beta in VirtualBox a few weeks ago. But I could not figure out how to install the VBoxGuestAdditions.

Non of the install scripts on the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso work for the OS.

Has anyone been successful at this?

Hi, I installed the beta on a VirtualBox machine running under Ubunto 9.04 amd64. Everything seemed to go fine, but when I finally rebooted the VM, I was greeted by grub's minimal console, instead of a menu. Is this expected behavior? I didn't try booting the thing because I can't remember for the life of me how to use grub's console and it was already too late to investigate.

I will do that later, just to see if StormOS actually work :)

Edit: Hmmm... it seems that StormOS has issues with VMWare and VirtualBox... sorry if I'm posting already known issues.

I have two problems running StormOS under VirtualBox on an OpenSolaris 2009.06 host. The first is that X comes up in 640x480 resolution - I can probably fix this using a customer xorg.conf . Can you tell me which service I need to stop to disable X so I can run Xorg -configure?

The second problem is that I neither the delete nor backspace key functions in a terminal window. How can I fix this?

I'm using the ISO version of the StormOS Hail Beta.

i´m running nexenta with stormos under vmware workstation
the problem is
i have no mouse support on stormos.
exist any solution ?
